Timary Estate Sales & Internet sales

About 6 years ago a friend of mine told me that his mother needed to downsize so she could move into an apartment.  I had sold different items on the web, so of course I offered to help.  When I arrived at her house and she opened the garage door to show me what she wanted to get rid of.  I couldn’t believe what I saw.  A wall of stuff,  junk and trash.She had items that were her grandparents, her parents, and her own that she had collected over the past fifty years.  Their kids show no interest in any of the family treasures so she needed to get rid of everything.

After putting together a game plan I went to work, first I separated everything into four piles.

• 1.  The Good stuff to sell on the internet, eBay and Craigslist, and a few other websites.
• 2.  The Estate sale items, a weekend in the sun having fun..
• 3.   The Donation pile, great for a tax credit.
• 4.   The Dump run to get rid of the trash and junk.

After I was done, the garage was clean, she had some extra cash,  and a tax credit.

after that  experience I discovered that I was having fun and making some extra cash, So if you find yourself in the need for someone that can help you downsize, let me know.

Here are my basic fees for my services:

1. Internet services- 30% of the final sale and charge for any auction fees off the final sale

2.  Estate Sale- 30% of sale.

3.  Donation and  Trash trips - $20.00 a hour service charge plus any fees.
